Powring edges in the form of projecting material strips are used on packing containers for e.g. liquid foodstuffs. The pouring edge is generally covered by a tear-off cover strip (6) which also serves as a closure for a pouring opening (7). In order to prevent the pouring edge strip (8) from being torn off or deformed at the removal of the cover strip (6), the same is given a z-folded form and is joined to the outside of the packing container in two seating areas situated at a distance from each other, the doubled area located in between projecting from the packing container and guiding the out folwing liquid.

The invention relates to packaging, namely, containers for liquid food products.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the strength and durability.
Figure 1 shows a container with an open casting hole, a general view; Fig. 2 shows a portion of a container blank with an attached strip for forming a casting edge and a closing strip, the cross section; figure 3 - section aa and figs fig. one .
The packaging container I contains a bottom, side walls 2 and an upper wall 3 separated by kinks.
A filling opening 4 is made in the upper wall of the container. Next to the filling opening, a flexible strip 6 is located along the part of the bend line 5 to form CO 2
pouring edge protruding beyond the inflection line 5.
The closure of the strip 7 is fastened to the strip 6 to form a casting edge weaker than the latter with the upper wall 3 of the container. The strip 6 for forming the pouring edge is fixed on the top wall 3 between the pouring hole 4 and the inflection line 5 and on the side wall 2 to form a fold 8, pressed against the side wall 2, covering the strip 7 and serving as the pouring edge 9 when opening the container.
The packaging container I is made of a laminated packaging material that contains a central carrier layer of paper, one or more thermoplastic layers on both sides of the carrier layer, and possibly additional layers of high gas impermeability, such as aluminum.

niy foil. A cover strip attached to the outer surface of the packaging material also contains several layers, for example an aluminum foil layer and a layer of thermoplastic material facing the packaging container.
The strip for forming the pouring edge contains two layers of material — an outer layer of polystyrene or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and a layer attached to this layer and made of a material that is capable of welding to the outer layer of the packaging container, i.e. preferably made of polyethylene in cases where the outer layer of container material is a layer of polyethylene. The inner layer of the covering strip can be made of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) if it can be welded to the outer layer of packaging material. Some types of melting glue (so-called hot melt) or a suitable adhesive lacquer can be used to join the material of the pouring edge with the material of the packaging container. The outer polystyrene or polyvinyl chloride layer can also be coated with a thin varnish covering layer. Thus, it is possible to provide a quick-release coupling between the strip, to form the pouring edge and the closing strip.
In Fig. 2, it can be seen that the strip 6 for forming the casting edge is bare. Z-shaped, pressed to the outer surface of the container blank and welded to it. The two end portions of the folded Z-shaped strip 6 are welded to the packaging material on either side of the bend line 5, which, in the final state of the packaging container, separates the top wall 3 of the container from the adjacent side wall 2. As a result, one section of strip 6 to form a casting edge connected to the upper wall of the container in the area located between the casting hole 4 and the inflection line 5, while the opposite end of the strip 6 for forming the pouring edge is connected to the section located nym on the opposite side of the line 5 inflection. That part of the strip to form the casting edge, which is located between the attachment areas, is folded in half and, in the finished and open state of the packaging container, projects beyond the bend line 5, essentially in the plane of the upper wall 3 of the packaging container (see Fig. 3).

holes 4 and it is retracted together with the closing strip so that the pouring hole 4 is uncorked and the contents of the container can be poured through it. Thereafter, the contents can flow along the upper part of the strip to form the pouring edge and be drained from its protruding folded portion, serving as the pouring edge itself, by streaming the contents. The increased distance between the two zones of attachment of the casting edge causes the casting edge to expand and assume the position shown in FIG. 3, which remains stable and not affected by external forces. The material does not lose its elasticity due to long-term storage, since the forces that tend to raise the pouring edge to the desired position only arise in connection with the transformation of the packaging container into the finished shape of the packaging container.
